For the final Artist Feature for January we will be looking at an original artist who works in many mediums. Her skills are vast and her art desirable. Her style is one that moves with the subject even when stationary. Read on for more on this inspiring lady.

Suzanne LaPierre even does custom work!!!

Meet Suzanne LaPierre. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and opened her Etsy store in March of 2011. Her work is collected by art lovers in many parts of the world with her followers bragging about the use of vivid colors.

When asked what inspires her to create here is what Suzanne had to say:

"My art is inspired by nature and imagination, usually containing both abstract and representational elements. I paint in acrylic, oil, watercolor, encaustic and have experimented with many other materials and techniques over the years. My goal is to be continually evolving as an artist. I am a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (Painting, BFA) and The George Washington University (Museum Studies, MA). The poet Forrest Gander wrote "I don't think poets tell things at all. Poetry listens." I believe this is true for painting as well, though in a visual sense."

Browse through the lovely collection Suzanne has showcased on her Etsy and ask her about her custom order work if you need something specific. Feel what inspires her as an artist while you admire her skills with oil, acrylic, watercolor, and other mediums.
